Your website is working 24/7 — your backup should be too.
Nobody plans for things to go wrong. But websites are made of moving parts, and sometimes those parts fail. Whether it’s a simple mistake, a software glitch, or a deeper corruption in the database, the question becomes: can you get back online quickly?
That’s why a solid backup and recovery plan isn’t optional — it’s essential.
Backups aren’t just for worst-case scenarios
Even if you’re running a small, stable site, backups are your safety net. They protect you from:
- Accidental deletions
- Botched updates or broken plugins
- Hacked or defaced websites
- Server failures or crashes
- Expired domains or misconfigurations
Without a backup, recovery becomes slow, expensive, or even impossible.
What I provide by default
All of my hosted websites come with a 30-day rolling backup system. This means:
- Your site’s files and database are backed up every day
- Backups are stored right on the server
- We can recover the entire site or specific components during that 30-day window
This is more than enough for most businesses. It’s quick, quiet insurance that keeps you covered.
Need more than 30 days?
For clients who want a longer safety line, I offer an enhanced backup option:
- Up to 180 days of daily backups
- Stored off-site using a trusted WordPress-specific backup service
- Ideal for sites with frequent content changes or e-commerce functionality
You also have the option to send backups to your own cloud storage — Dropbox, Google Drive, or others — so you’re always in possession of your data.
Peace of mind, every day
Whether you’re a one-page site or a growing platform, knowing your site is backed up — and that there’s a plan in place — changes everything. It gives you the confidence to make updates, try new features, and rest easy knowing there’s always a way back.
